January 2020 Market Highlights
- Home sales in Kansas rose by 6.4% percent in January 2020 compared to the same period last year. National sales had an increase with sales rising by 9.6% over 2019.
- Home prices continue to increase across the state. The statewide average sale price in January was $212,034 a 5.6% increase compared to last year. Midwest prices rose 5.4% and US prices rose 6.8%.
- Mortgage rates fell slightly. The national average commitment rate on a 30-year conventional mortgage for the week ending February 14, 2020, was 3.49%. View Freddie Mac’s report.
