December 2019 Market Highlights
- Home sales in Kansas rose by 12.6% percent in December 2019 compared to the same period last year. National sales had an increase with sales rising by 10.8% over 2018.
- Home prices continue to increase across the state. The statewide average sale price in December was $218,076 a 6.1% increase compared to last year. Midwest prices rose 9.2% and US prices rose 7.8%.
- Mortgage rates fell slightly. The national average commitment rate on a 30-year conventional mortgage for the week ending January 17, 2020, was 3.60%. View Freddie Mac’s report.
